FREE show tonight featuring Minusbaby with me on all kinds of crazy viz. Apparently free booze too! Check it out!
adding waveforms to create a more complex one. the additive result has periodicity too large for gif animation - hence a still frame. october 2011.
A still frame from combining waveforms in puredata. The resulting animation is periodic though takes quite a while to complete - too long to make a nice gif animation. Hence the still frame. October 2011
A still from a long animation of additive audio waveforms. Black & white as it is most flexible. Can recolor if needed. Made with puredata. October 2011.
a still frame because full rotation takes too many frames for animated gif.
the animated version will probably be one of several elements making its way into a visual set. made with puredata, audio reactive, oct 2011
Just thinking about the stuff I post on Tumblr….
The graphics and animations that I post are experiments and often used in some other form as part of an entire visual composition - generally in live performance. They aren’t complete finished works like a demo reel.
It’s something like an electronic musician who would post a single bass drum sound that he/she created. It probably won’t be used alone but as one element in a piece of music. Still.. if this bass drum sound is something that the musician created - e.g. using a resonating filter through a VCA with an appropriate envelope - I would be inclined to find it worth clicking on and hearing. But that’s me. Some people might prefer to wait and hear an entire composition.
Lightrhythm Visuals included us in their very first iPhone/iPad app! This is outpt+paris piece in the magazine, check it out to see the full international gallery of artists.
Still frame from a series of motion graphics done in Pd/GEM - Dec 2010. Like many in the series, the sequence takes too long to get to a good looping point for an animated gif - hence the still instead.
